Application Streaming and Virtualization with SVS
This 4-day, instructor-led, hands-on class focuses on the daily tasks system administrators responsible for supporting application virtualization will perform. This includes:
- Create, edit, deploy, and manage layers
- Manage applications from the server
Course Objectives
- Describe the application streaming process, including how layers can be used in the streaming process
- Load and enable packages for streaming through the console
- Configure permissions on packages
- Associate packages to users and groups
- Update applications through the Launch page or application shortcut
- Allocate liceses to computers or users, and identify and remove licenses for a package
- Install streaming components
- Install the SVS agent
- Create layers with the Admin tool and SVS Applet
- Edit read-only and writeable layers
- Export and import layers
- Configure exclusions in a layer
- Create a data layer and redirect application data to the layer
